Overview - This is another in the "...I can't believe this disk's alive..." series. I believe it was made by Unison, but I can't be 100 percent sure. It is pretty cool, though. It's essentially a newspaper page maker, with graphics and fonts. Fun stuff. I loved this program way back in the days, when I was printing with my dot matrix printer. I used this for school work (even though I had Word Perfect 5). It was fun to use. There's no documentation with it, so you basically have to play with it to find out what everything does. Is it useful? Not if you compare it to a word processing program. But if you want something fast and easy that puts graphics and fancy fonts onto a page quickly and efficiently, then you'll love it. This is a piece from a time when software was fun to use and didn't require you to read a hugely thick manual.

As you have probably already noticed, the .rar file that contains this file also contains 5 other .zip files. Copy each to a floppy and run install.exe on disk 1 to install the software. Note that disk 5 is completely optional; it is just fonts.

Überblick - RESTART.COM ist eine exzellente Methode, den PC von Windows aus neu zu starten. Entnommen von den cab-Files der Windows 98 Startupdisk, kann man dieses Programm in jedes beliebige Verzeichnis legen und ausführen. ACHTUNG: Man sollte sich jedoch im reinen DOS-Modus befinden, denn ein Start von der Eingabeaufforderung von Windows aus bringt so ziemlich alles durcheinander.

ScummVM lässt einen Lucas Arts - Spiele (selbst diejenigen, die nie für den Amiga erschienen sind) direkt in einem Workbenchfenster (oder natürlich im Vollbild) spielen. Es funktioniert sowohl mit CGX, als auch mit AGA. AGA-Systeme haben ein paar Einschränkungen. So läuft das Programm nur im Vollbildmodus, und es ist auch nicht das allerschnellste. Auf meinem 68030/50 und Grafik- und Soundkarte ist beispielsweise der Sound von Sam & Max nur ein einziges Stottern, aber ohne Sound ist es sehr gut spielbar.
