Beach Volley
Title Screen
Ocean 1989
Genre: Sport, Action
Rating: 3.5/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
Yay, it's summer! Dig out your bathing shorts / suit, jump in the car and head for the beach. And hope you are one of these good-looking sport-types to avoid being laughed about. Or alternatively, hope there are even fatter people than you to keep the attention away from the result of your beer sessions. Hiring some people with visible mutations could also help...

Chase H.Q.
Title Screen
Ocean 1989
Genre: Action, Sport
Rating: 3/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
Chase H.Q., which first got into the arcades in 1988, is a racing game with a twist. Instead of just using the basic 'driving faster than the opponents', it adds another goal: catching another vehicle. The simple background story tells us something about a 'futuristic' police department called 'Chase H.Q.'. The player sits around in his sports car all day until he gets a call from Nancy from the headquarters, telling him about an escaped criminal who has to be caught again.

Ivanhoe
Title Screen
Ocean 1990
Genre: Action
Rating: 3.5/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
You walk from left to right and kill a few enemies. Sounds like Super Mario World? Maybe, but it's not! And it's not even something similar! It's Ivanhoe!

The 'story' is quite simple: King Richard has been captured by the French and you have to rescue him. Alone. You start your quest in England. There you have to get to the port. Unfortunately, a forest full of villains lies in the way. So you have no other choice but to fight your way through. You draw your sword and show them what you're made of! These weak peasants are no match for you! Some hits with your blade and they fall to the ground dead. Also those cowards hiding in the trees won't escape you!

Jungle Strike
Title Screen
Ocean 1995
Genre: Action
Rating: 4/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: PC
Again the free world needs you and your american technology. The Arabic madman's son joined forces with a South American druglord and you are sent to the jungle where his plans must be reduced to smoking ruins with your helpful Comanche, and a bunch of new vehicles.

The Addams Family
Title Screen
Ocean 1991
Genre: Action
Rating: 3/6
Language: English, Deutsch, Francais
Licence: Commercial
System: Game Boy
Talking about games that deal with films or series, sooner or later the phrase "licence crap" will come up. Many more or less common titles, for example almost every Simpsons game, do give reasons for this: The brand name itself is selling most of the copies, so why spend money on a complex production? Quickly design some sprites, that remind of the original characters and warm up some old games idea and the way into the shelves is paved.
