Help Us!
In spite of everything we try, we can neither know every piece of software, nor do we have enough free time to review every single game we do know. This is where you come in. The Good Old Days is meant to be an open project for all views. Whether you share our views or hate us for our opinions - you're welcome to voice your own. There are different levels of involvement:
- Writing additional reviews about games already on the site
- Add games not yet covered at all
- Contribute to the apps section
- Write editorials refering to the general topic
- etc...
Please be aware that we're not interested in pure software 'gifts' not accompanied by reviews other than for the games listed below. What we're looking for is people who share our premise that information is the most important thing. So unless you actually want to review games and make screenshots of them, forget about it. This is no 'download site'.
What games should I review?
Whatever you like. Our focus is on classic games, of course, so the latest 3D shooter might not be overly appropriate. If you feel your favourite game at least has the 'classic spirit', though, it's fine.
I'm really, really indecisive and can't decide on my own. Please just tell me what to do!
Why not concentrate on filling some of the lesser covered genres? You might have noticed that the RPG section is a little slim, so what about games from the Wizardry, Bard's Tale or Amberstar/-moon series which can't be found yet? Also, there currently isn't anybody who's really into sports games like Kick Off or Sensible Soccer. Still - just suggestions.
If you're still interested, go ahead and contact Mr Creosote.
