Buck Rogers - Planet of Zoom
Title Screen
Sega 1984
Genre: Action
Rating: 2/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: PC
Buck Rogers... when I hear that name I instantly think of this stupid, annoying, just plainly dumb robot-thing... Twiki... Argh! I guess it was supposed to be cute, but well - it's not relevant here anyway. The whole series... comic... movies - everything ist just not important here. The only thing this game has got to do with Buck Rogers at all is just that there is some kind of spacecraft involved and there's a bit of flying around in space. That's just about it.

Buggy Boy
Title Screen
Tatsumi / Taito Corporation 1987
Genre: Sport
Rating: 4/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: C64
Racing on the C64 had a few problems, as you might remember. Games like these were hard to make due to the procedural nature of BASIC, and most of the racing game were really crap.
Well, you might just like to know that this thing is NOT a crap game at all. In fact, although featuring only 5 races, Buggy Boy is some of the most interesting pieces of software I've ever seen. And certainly one of the most interesting racing games of the '80s.

Bumpy's Arcade Fantasy
Title Screen
Loriciel 1992
Genre: Puzzle, Action
Rating: 4/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: PC
Here you have a platformer, you know, a game that is about jumping around. Only this one is all just about jumping and bouncing your way across puzzles filled with dangers and death. Oh well, that is all the game has, really, but it’s something to see.

Bundesliga Manager Professional
Alternate Name(s): "The Manager"
Title Screen
Software 2000 1992
Genre: Sport, Strategy
Rating: 4/6
Language: Deutsch, English
Licence: Commercial

Visiting an old acquaintance... you probably know that, not having seen each other for a long time. Maybe you think back how it was. Time has cut a rift you can't bridge anymore. You two have become alienated. That's a pity then. Then, there are the cases in which you stand face to face and it is almost like no day has passed at all.

Bureaucracy
Title Screen
Infocom 1987
Genre: Adventure
Rating: 5/6
Language: English
Licence: Commercial
System: PC
Infocom's text adventures are known to be the best. Their game engine with its great parser was used for a large variety of masterpieces. Bureaucracy is one of those. What it makes superior to most of its "colleagues" is the hilarious plot. It was written by Steve Meretzky (Leather Goddesses of Phobos, Stationfall) and the well known author Douglas Adams. The two had collaborated before to convert Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy into a game.
