Advanced Destroyer Simulator
Title Screen
Futura 1990
Genre: Simulation, Strategy
Rating: 4/6
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
Everyone who tries this game will notice the similarity to Silent Service. Graphics, sound and even controls are almost the same. And also the topic differs only slightly: Instead of a sub, you're in charge of a british destroyer in WW2.

Helicopter Mission
Title Screen
Rauser Advertainment 1993
Genre: Simulation, Action
Rating: 0/6
Licence: Freeware
System: Amiga
I've always had a soft spot for promotial games. With some ironic distance, they're mostly very funny: unvoluntarily humor galore. The uncoolest companies trying to get their useless products into the concious of young people. That's of course not easily done. Medicine against rheumatism suddenly turns hip, politicians become MTV-compatible stars. Or the promoted product doesn't turn up at all. Hilarious!

Silent Service 2
Title Screen
Microprose 1990
Genre: Simulation, Strategy
Rating: 5/6
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
A very mature Amiga game. Looking at its theme, it's obviously not aimed at the same target audience as the endless flood of Jump'n'Runs, but on the other hand, it's also not some ultra-realistic simulation which would scare most people off.

Stunt Car Racer
Title Screen
Microstyle 1988
Genre: Sport, Simulation
Rating: 4/6
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
Before he began to make "serious" racing sims like Formula 1 Grand Prix, Geoff Crammond created this Amiga classic. It is set in a fictional (or let's say I hope it is fictional) Stunt Car league. There are four divisions and the player of course starts in the fourth. In each division there are two courses on which all three drivers (of the division) have to race against each other in head-to-head duels. Points are awarded for the best lap and the winner. At the end of the season, the best driver of each division gets to the higher division, while the last one is relegated.

The Shadow of the Third Moon
Title Screen
Black Blade Design / Titan Computer 1998
Genre: Simulation, Action
Rating: 4/6
Licence: Commercial
System: Amiga
Mobygames isn't omniscient. There. I've said it. Heresy? Then show me where they cover this game (ok, ok, I'm aware this might change, I'm refering to the time of writing, of course). Yet, it obviously exists.
