So far, my favorite is Xenosaga or Chrono Trigger[...]

Can't make up your mind? ;)

What is Xenosaga anyways?

I like RPGs, but I don't like Might & Magic. I'm one of those weirdos who likes a good story; and (some) adventures and (some) RPGs have good stories, so I like 'em.

So far, my favorite is Xenosaga or Chrono Trigger. I've heard Anachronox has a really cool story too, but I haven't played it yet.

I also like Grandia II and the Star Ocean series for their cool battle systems.

No, it is because people who pretend to like RPGs in fact never play any games, but just 'collect' them. Thus, they're not interested in reviews, but only downloadz.

I don't pretend to like them, I do like them. However, just like any other genre, the fact that a game is a RPG doesn't make that game good at all in the first place...

The reason that RPGs are notin TGOD is because you don't put them there
I don't put them there, but so doesn't everyone else. Go figure.

Wasn't there ever a request for a RPG in the forum ?
There wasn't.

You cowards can't hide from the truth that this 'genre' is crap. Why do you think there are hardly any RPGs on TGOD? Because no sane person likes them! :cunning:

Why, do you have anything against not-sane people ? :P :P

Because you can't appreciate a good game when you see one? Merely speculation :P

I'm not really sure I should get him ;). You know, in my mind MM9 was one of the worst games I have ever played, and as much as I'm sorry for seeing 3DO go, I'm quite glad there won't be another MM game like that ;)

That remains to be seen. As I said, it could be Ubi Soft who might continue this. But then again, who wants stupid RPGs anyway? :P

OK, that was a direct and intented insult. NetDanzr, let's get him !

It seems Ubi Soft has taken over the name rights for Might & Magic. At least they have announced another part of the Heroes of... series on the E3.

Yup. He later left and founded 3DO. For the last few months, he's been financing the company out of his own pocket.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The 3DO Company, a Delaware corporation (Nasdaq: THDO - News), and The 3DO Company, a California corporation and wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, today announced that they have filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of Title 11 of the United States Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.

"This filing gives us more time to complete transactions in the interest of our stakeholders," said Trip Hawkins, Chairman and CEO. "While we hope that this news will generate additional new opportunities, at this point we are focused on pursuing either the sale of the entire company or the sale of its assets."

The Company will continue to manage their properties and operate their businesses in the ordinary course of business as "debtors-in-possession" subject to the supervision and orders of the Bankruptcy Court pursuant to the Bankruptcy Code.

I don't really care about a company that didn't manage anything else than publishing an endless stream of Army Men games, but I really care for their NWC division, the developer and publisher of the Might and Magic games. That, and the fact that I was really looking forward for their The Four Horsemen of Appocalypse.
