This is acdually for a Kryoflux preservation project I'm working on so I need the original disk.

On that note, I'm actually having difficulty emulating the protection on pce-emulator. It seems like no matter how I create the psi image, it won't recognize the disk.

I recommend to contact to hampa (the author of PCE emulator.)

Thanks, it's hard to keep track of all these threads. That KQ turned out to be 1.1H and I'm still kicking myself for missing that lemmings auction.

Oops, that's too bad.

By the way, do you really want original release of Lemmings 1?

I recommend to buy 2 copies of Lemmings from ebay or Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001NW28FO/ref=sr_1_1_twi_5_2_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1451497467&sr=8-1&keywords=Lemmings+5.25

Then you can replace the disk sector as original release by using WIMAGE.EXE from FDREAD18.ZIP (But do Not use DCOPY.EXE or other dump tools, because weak bit sectors will be lost.)

You are also looking for King's Quest II (Gray package) IIRC.

Fuck, I missed it. What makes you think it was an original release? I saw the manual does not say Oh no, More Lemmings.

You can see P.R. UK 4/91 on Product Registration Card.

Hi.

I have original release disk 1 of Lemmings.
But the package is from second release(?).

You can replace (change/modify) disk 1 with original disk by using WIMAGE.EXE from FDFORM18.ZIP.

I need to get my hands on an original May 1991 release of Lemmings. I have more copies than I care to admit of the July release and I'm looking for any information regarding box shots, box contents and the color and appearance of the disk's labels of the original release. I would prefer to purchase this right out, but I would be fine with paying just for the chance to digitally preserve this version with my Kryoflux device.

I already have a disk image of this release and can provide a file list w/ time stamps and file sizes if anyone needs those details, but the disk image is useless for my preservation purposes. It's just useful to track this version down.

*if you have an old copy and a drive to read it, please write protect the floppy before doing anything with it by either covering the notch on the 5.25'' disks or making the notch see-through on the 3.5'' disks.
