19.72387% - Geek

Hmm, somehow I expecting a higher score seeing as I am a star trek/star wars/fantasy/roleplaying-fanatic... I guess I'm just too lazy to become te best geek I can be :)

The highest score is "100% - Liar" by the way. Wow, I'm such a geek to have tried out checking all the boxes ;)

And there is a sequel to that they are making, which most likely mess the whole thing up. ;)

Edit: This is kind of crazy. I went back to the test and just checked one box to see what the percentage was, and I get this pop-up:

"The Male:Female ratio among geeks is at least 10:1. Therefore a 1% advantage is fair."

I guess I can't complain now...

9.46746% - Geekish Tendencies

Probably the fact that I like the idea of owning a real lightsaber gave me away...

And no, I think the score should indeed go up for girls: since there are fewer girl geeks, it should be relatively easier to score higher if you're a girl...

You get extra points for being a girl and a geek 'cause that by itself is so rare that it adds extra geekiness... or something. :bemused:

Yeah, Issac Asimov, good ficition stuff there.

I don't understand why the score goes UP when you are a girl. Shouldn't it go down?!?

Great test, very well done. I think I know a few people who would check all the boxes... ;)

My result isn't really surprising since I was never interested in all this roleplaying/fantasy literature/Star Trek stuff.

Rubic Cubes are still being made? I thought they had ceased production back in 1989 ;)

They still make them, but I think only for corporate advertising, like branded key-fobs, mousemats, pens or other 'office toys', see attachment.

When the Kingston Rep came into the office with a box full of them I keel-hauled him into giving me a huge stash of them, I break them regularly (not by cheating mind you!), and before that happened I had spent about ten years without one because I couldnt find one anywhere!

Regarding Geeks being ashamed, I agree. I dont really give a shit what people think of me. If someones your friend they'll like you no matter what:)

Why are all geeks so ashamed of what they are anyway? You're all somehow insinuating (or saying directly) that you admit there is something 'wrong' with the things you like or you're doing. Why? I have stuff all around me which is usually considered 'geek-ish'. So what? I'm proud of everything I do, and I couldn't care less what people call me for that :D

Oh, and I'm aware of the irony of this statement in combination with having the (so far) lowest geek score of the forum members.

Whats so geeky about Rubiks Cube! Never mind "Own more than 2+ Rubiks Cube", we had a promotion on them at work about two years ago (run by Kingston memory) and Ive got 7 of them, 9 if you include the broken ones :)

...and anybody who calls me a geek for playing with Lego will get a punch in the face, without warning.
