I didn't think that Mr Creosote could be more critical than the people who post on Slashdot ;)

You're certainly the top authority when it comes to summing up the article, but you're lacking any credibility when it comes to games, apparantely. For example, the words 'Adventure' and 'Strategy' appear in it :o

Thanks, Breaker :)

Mr Creosote: Actually, I wrote that thesis on Slashdot, and as the author of the article I guess I know what I'm talking about :P

I'm not going to read this article as the subject doesn't interest me the slightest bit, but just noticing the blue game names was enough to convince me the thesis Slashdot made out of it ('positive light') can't be true :P

As for getting something 'Slashdotted', that's actually quite simple. Just throw up some page with a few penguin graphics and some obscure software patch for some obscure problem, and there we go ;)

Very good review and a very handy reference for future reading.

I hate to gloat (well, actually, I love it), but Slashdot has finally noticed my obvious talents and linked to my article on gaming (the article can be found here). Warning - the article deals with PC gaming in 2003, so people who still stick in the 1980s may not find it too useful ;)
