Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11126 | I've just installed Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5, and to be honest, I can't notice the slightest difference to 0.4. Tuss: The detailed bug description is on the page I linked to. To make it short: Firebird is crashing when you select a directory which is actually a softlink to another directory in any file dialog. This prevents me from saving files directly to my 'storage' partition. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 964 | It works fine so far. But there is this crappy download manager and its annoying "all downloads finished" message. Is there any way to disable this? Edit: Apparently the "finished" message can be suppressed by setting "browser.download.manager.showAlertOnComplete" to false. But if you disable the download manager completely, you can't see the progress of a download... Edited by Tapuak at 17:34 on February, 10th 2004 |

 Member Prof Gumby Posts: 607 | I've been using it since this morning; works fine. There's hardly any difference with Firebird 0.7 if you ask me. The most obvious changes are the new download manager (not much of an improvement over the separate download windows) and the fact that there are a bunch of default actions associated with certain file types (which I removed immediately).
