it was apparently done with a simple word processor, probably by Ken himself. Did not look like a professional publication to me...

I read both of them, but they both weren't too inspiring. But quite interesting nevertheless, especially the Ken Williams book. But what a horrible layout... :D

I would appreciate if more of the kind would be published in the future...

Ken Williams published Not All Fairy Tales Have Happy Endings: The Rise and Fall of Sierra On-Line. Sid Meier wrote an autobiography called Sid Meier's Memoir!: A Life in Computer Games. Did you read any of these (or similar)? Interested?
