After a bit more investigating, i found that in all cases of the checksums not working, it was the SHA1 which was not matching. In all those cases the CRC32 was correct! more weirdly, on other collections (like TDC) i found the versions matching those SHA1 hashes, but not matching the CRC32.

So I am guessing there was some editing/updating that was incomplete, and I am assuming the CRC32 hashes were the old "correct" ones, matching the files. This could be supported by the fact that they match the files uploaded to archive.

I manually fixed the SHA1 hashes in both my edited DAT versions, as before, if someone is interested to have these, i am happy to share.

Now the only 2 files missing for me are
000530_klik_and_play.7z
003544-turbo_out_run.7z

Any help here would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi,

i already tried in the German forum: https://www.goodolddays.net/forum/topic.php?id=7271&page=1
Now i am trying here, maybe somebody can help.

The following is completely missing on archive.org:
000530_klik_and_play.7z
003544-turbo_out_run.7z

The following files, after downloading from archive.org, fail to verify checksum, neither the checksum of the website nor the DAT file match (which are identical):
001177_rise_of_the_triad.7z (disk2.img failed)
001180_zeliard.7z (disk1.img failed)
001181_zeliard.7z (disk1.img failed)
002434_indiana_jones_and_the_last_crusade.7z (disk5.img failed)
003505_space_quest_3.7z (disk1.img failed)
003526_magic_boy.7z (disk1.img failed)

I am confused, because I dont know if the published checksums (website/DAT) are wrong or the files got corrupted before/during upload.

Anybody can clarify/check their own files?

Thanks in advance :)

By the way, I found some missing files in the DAT file and manually added those.
Furthermore I created a script to merge the DAT file to have all disk images for the same game sorted under 1 entry. That way, using 7z compression, I got the entire archive down to 3.85GB, from 7GB before.

If anybody is interested in either version (manually updated or merged) of the DAT file, give me a shout, I am happy to share those DATs.
