Actually, there was only one "factual mistake" that i spotted right away, and a few little tiny ones. The big mistake was the claim that the company was established in 1984. In fat, it formed in 1980 with an initial starting capital of 500 pounds as a computer consulting business. It published games since 1982.

As for the smaller mistakes, the one that I remember is "Quest Adventure". The official name of the game was simply "Quest".

Thanks :). I found a little more info by now, but took me an hour to piece it together myself. There are small factual mistakes (I'm willing to trust Andrew Hewson's own words more).

As for 21st Century, their homepage got taken over by a cyber squatter quite a while ago, and I haven't heard from the for years now.

And in case you haven't looked properly at Mobygames:
Quote:
In 1991 Hewson Consultants was wound up and replaced by 21st Century Entertainment Ltd, which is still trading!
(from http://www.mobygames.com/company/sheet/overview/companyId=1537/)

Of course I'm serious. Check out these pages:
http://www.back2roots.org/Docs/Reviews/Companies/Hewson%2C2/
http://www.back2roots.org/Webdir/Files/21st%20Century%2C1/

Only thing I'm not sure about is the status of 21st Century Entertainment...

Are you serious about that? Where can I find more? MobyGames somehow ignores the fact.

(In fact, I'm researching Hewson right now, which is why I am asking.)

That one's easy: Hewson (now 21st Century Entertainment) are the long-time publishers of Graftgold.

What do you know... Today I ran across one of the images (the old, Black and White one), and it is indeed those two people. The only problem is that the image was posted in a promotional material for a ZX Spectrum game, made by Hewson Consultants, not by Graftgold. Care to explain that, Mr Creosote? ;)

I can see you're running out of ideas and I'm running out of hints. So I'll just tell you: It's Andrew Braybrook (left on the original photo) and Steve Turner, the founders of Graftgold. They are responsible for classics such as Paradroid, Uridium (Uridium 2 is the one on the poster of the last photo) or Fire & Ice. Shame on you all :P

Oh, come on! You don't even know which game Renegade could have presented on the same event as Chaos Engine? Too bad :P

I got it! It's the Bitmap Brothers (some of them, at least - I think there were more). And if you ask me, I think they had better hair back then.

Nope, they're both English. Another photo (from 1993) - it's still not Dani Bunten, even if the person looks like her here ;)

Ouch :pain:. That's a really bad picture. The one on the right, isn't he the one who created Tetris?
