This thread is dedicated to the tournament in Micro Machines 2 we want to hold here. Technically, we will use the SNES version and the Internet play feature of ZSNES. If you're interested in taking part, reply here!

Count me in... I played the PC version so I should have a fair chance... This SNES version seems to run extremely fast compared to the PC version though, or maybe I'm just extremely rusty... :)

Since nobody else has voiced any views, I hereby decide we'll use the Rookie Races. These might not be too exciting, but they're fair courses - unlike for example Ferry Fiasco which is always decided at the 'ferry'.

As mentioned, we'll do it in league style. Since we're six competitors, we can organise this in 'rounds'. Everybody has one race. As soon as you're finished, post the results here (not only who won, but also by which score, e.g. 3-0 or 2-1). Then, when each 'first race' is finished, the second round will start.

This is the lineup of the first round:
Tuss - Pada1
Mr Creosote - sterge10
Tapuak - The Mole

Let the races begin! Good luck to you all!

I'm willing to try this week but I'm not sure it will work through my uni's internet connection... The weekend should be no problem for me, Tuss... Just let me know when you feel up to it...

sterge: I went strictly after the order of 'subscription': first against fourth, second against fifth, third against sixth :P As everybody will race all the others anyway, it doesn't matter so much in which order the races are held.

A note to The Mole: Tapuak has just moved to his new flat and he's without a phone line there, so he probably won't be able to react until the weekend.

sterge: In case you didn't notice, I sent you a private message.

Edit: apparantely, we missed each other by a few seconds. When I went online, you were still listed as 'online' here, but you obviously didn't get my message anymore. I'll be online again approximately 11 PM (Saturday, GMT+1) again.

As Mr Creosote said, I'm without a phone connection at the moment. During the next weeks, I will only be able to play online games at the weekends. :(

Mole: For now I'm ready to play. How about a game tomorrow afternoon?

Okay, I'll be around for most of the afternoon unless someone else desperately needs the computer, so just let me know when you're ready...

First result:
Mr Creosote - sterge10: 3-0 :D

The racing was hampered by quite bad reaction times and slow graphics (also known as 'bad weather' ;)).

Race Report:
Mr. C Vs Sterge

After a failry close first race which went down to the final lap, Creo eventually went on to a 3 nil white wash. Prompting claims of keyboard tampering and stearing responsivness issues from Sterge:P
But a well fought out series of races in which the last 2 didn't go past the first lap.

(note to self: learn to drive for next round)
