I'm here because that stupid DMV won't give me my stupid license 'til the stupid day of the 28th because the stupid me didn't get my stupid permit 'til the stupid date of March 28th. And then the stupid job places will only take a stupid license as acceptable proof of stupid identification. So I'll be here for the remainder of this stupid week.

Yeah, especially since I used to sport around 1200+ posts before the switch to this version. Mr Creosote might just correct me on the right number, if someone remember it would be him.

I don't really remember when you joined. Was it before the switch too? Hummm... Loosy memory.

To clear this up once and for all: Eagle first joined this forum in mid-2000 when it was still 3rd party hosted by Freetools. His first post was in the topic "Your favourite race in Master of Orion". Goat joined in 2002 (brown Ikonboard 3). His first post was in "New Members (Introduction)". No comment on this "xxx is not a regular. is."-silliness.

I don't think that's right. It must have been 2001 or 2 that I joined, because I had joined that stupid hot-linking dos games place before this. I'm not sure what the exact date was that I joined that horrible site, but I think it was in December of 2001. I clearly remember the brown ikonBoard, though.

I believe one is a regular when their post count is equal to one. A forum can look mighty inviting if there are people who have been there for 3 or so years and has post counts in the thousands, it is a testament to the quality if one is willing to stay there so long. Unfortunately, the same person can chase off newer people with elitism. I say the more the merrier, and two people talking to each other in a forum is mighty boring.

A larger influx of new, intelligent people would undoubtedly be more welcome.

I consider someone a regular when someone post at least one intelligent comment in a week span for several weeks. What I mean about intelligent comment is easy; as long as your post is larger than one line sentences (like salutations or puns) and that you show or explain an opinion.
