Member Retired Gumby Posts: 743 | There's apparently a new line of toys coming out, and a series of minicomics to go with them. These comics apparently pick up after the last mini comics ended & carry on the same plot. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2011/07/29/masters-of-the-universe-minicomics/ The first issue is already available via torrents. It seems there's also a new movie in the works, "Greyskull: Masters of the Universe" (which is probably why the toys are suddenly making a comeback). No info seems to be available for the movie yet though. ----- At the end of the day, you're left with a bent fork & a pissed off rhino. |

I've got a few of the figures, they are nice, but of course, there is always the question of why to buy them when you've got the classic ones. The stupid marketing schemes (no decent subscription service, artificial supply shortages etc.) don't exactly get me excited either. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 743 | *shrug* Maybe for those who lost the original toys or never had them in the first place, or perhaps because the new ones seem much more articulated? http://www.poeghostal.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/heman_beastman-32.jpg In any case, the comics are new, and that's all I care about anyway. :p I don't have the spare cash for figures, and a new live action movie doesn't sound good. ----- At the end of the day, you're left with a bent fork & a pissed off rhino. |

Yes... it seriously can only turn into yet another disaster. I don't know who was more annoying: Courtney Cox or the dwarf ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1092 | I've heard more than once that the film was originally an attempt to make a film based on Kirby's Fourth World, which would explain why it has absolutely nothing to do with Master of the Universe. ----- Edited by Wandrell at 19:23 on August 8th, 2011 |
