Member Baby Gumby Posts: 2 | Submitted the nine 3.5" floppy images for the kind of rare 16 color EGA version through the main site. Hopefully they show up...:P |

![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11624 | OK, so I might as well reply here. The disk images are not a problem - they are sitting in the processing queue now, but please have some patience nevertheless. Wandrell, who is handling the disk images, has been overloaded quite a bit lately. I'm now trying to lighten his burden a bit again on other fronts (e.g. by updating the other parts of the site more), but there's still some stuff in the queue before yours. As for the complete game submissions of King's Quest and Tie Fighter, you did not provide sufficient screenshots (one is not enough; four in-game plus title screen is the minimum) and full reviews with the games. What you wrote about Tie Fighter is about 160 words. That's half the minimum review length as stated on the respective form. It is our policy not to clutter the main part of the site with too many unreviewed games. There are enough sites already which cover the basic game data. Stub entries are used to show different versions of games which have already been reviewed. So King's Quest 5 EGA would be a candidate which could be added without a full review if any other version of King's Quest 5 were already reviewed on the site. But there is none. So right now, all I can ask you is whether you want to provide these missing things (review and screenshots for each of the games) yourself. If so, I will keep what you sent in so far for completion. If not, I'm sorry to say that I have no choice but to reject it all (not counting the disk images which will be catalogued regardless). And to be safe, because this turns into a problem regularly: Reviews and screenshots have to be made by yourself. So, please let me know how to proceed. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

I went with the partial submission for KQ5 to get the disk images to you. As for the TIE Fighter stuff: Quote: What you wrote about Tie Fighter is about 160 words. I'll work up on my review for TIE and get the screenshots -- should I simply attach my screenshots and post the full-er review in here rather than trying another submission through your front page? ----- Edited by Shroomy at 18:31 on May 9th, 2012 |

Enter basic information (like… what game it is) into the notes field. Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1092 | I have to say that I don't think I'll have much time to keep updating the floppies collection until July. I know that there is still a lot of work to do on it, but I fear I'm lacking time lately. Still, I'll see if I take a look at your images this weekend, and also add a few others to the collection. |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1092 | Added to the collection. Thanks for it, and I think it's also a new version of the game that wasn't around the net, or at least a little known one. The other EGA version I have is 062. ----- Edited by Wandrell at 18:21 on May 13th, 2012 |

Member Prof Gumby Posts: 486 | Hi. I've got the dual media of King's Quest V EGA 16 color version. (0.000.055) My 3.5" of Disk 2/10 , 4/10 , 5/10 , 9/10(Start Up) is missing. I found this is uploaded with no.869. I've checked SHA1 with mines. The following are same as mines. 747208ba94f9409b039d90d6a097c6033b7d8054 disk1.img 75c73a9d1bd08eadc610965512b245c50329c166 disk3.img 53139a2d41590d4e1a9bf70a75e99aefaf7f7a79 disk6.img 7d9a66b4824802fb2cbd13104ac9e39aa4eaef85 disk7.img fe21e3b9b26c42b7da87d77d4fb99cdfdca7abe1 disk8.img But I think 3.5" of Dual Drive Startup disk is missing on diskimage. Of course I have this disk. This is important disk with dual media release. Dual media version of KQ5 (EGA 16 colors version #0.000.054 or #0.000.055) consists the following disks. (5.25") Disk 1 -- Disk 1/6 Disk 2 -- Disk 2/6 Disk 3 -- Disk 3/6 Disk 4 -- Disk 4/6 Disk 5 -- Disk 5/6 (Startup Disk) Disk 6 -- Disk 10/10 (Dual Drive Startup for 720KB 3.5" Setup) (3.5") Disk 1 -- Disk 1/10 Disk 2 -- Disk 2/10 (I don't have it) Disk 3 -- Disk 3/10 Disk 4 -- Disk 4/10 (I don't have it) Disk 5 -- Disk 5/10 (I don't have it) Disk 6 -- Disk 6/10 Disk 7 -- Disk 7/10 Disk 8 -- Disk 8/10 Disk 9 -- Disk 9/10 (Startup Disk) (I don't have it) Disk 10 -- Disk 6/6 (Dual Drive Startup for 1.2MB 5.25" Setup) I can offer if I've got missed disks. P.S. I still can't download #869. |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1092 | Maybe they are a different release? Anyway, we are happy to receive any new set of images. And by the way, next month there will be a reorganization of the way the collection works, and will be open to anybody who wishes to help sorting and adding the sets of images into the collection, which way now depends only on me and is going way too slow. In case you are interested in helping a bit more. |

At least version 0.000.054 and 0.000.055 of KQ5 (EGA) was released with dual Media. (both 5.25" and 3.5") I think upload user seems to contribute 3.5" format only. But I have 5.25" version of it. I'll upload it later. |
