Hmmm… I wonder if they are really up to it. While some of their solo sketches over the years were not that bad (especially a somewhat recent skit from John Cleese for one of the best of collections, where he mocks old and rich people, comes to my mind), they have to live up to quite a legend. Still I love the idea and even though I do not plan to travel to the O2 for it, I will try to see it as soon as humanly possible. :D

So one of the shows was on TV here a couple of days ago. Pretty much what I expected: the usual few sketches re-hashed (dead parrot, lumberjack song…), some outdoor skits on film and a lot of sing & dance numbers. People laughing out of reflex, because they already know all the material anyway. In a way, painful to see Monty Python having become the very establishment which they used to make fun of. Though at least they didn't try to 'modernise' their numbers, give them 'deeper meaning' or anything like that.

Anyone else seen it?

Not yet, but judging from your descriptions I seriously doubt I will.

Funnily I started watching the old shows a couple of days ago (without being aware that their comeback had already taken place). :)
