Member Baby Gumby Posts: 1 | First of all i'm glad to see this initiative. as a 40+ year old its certainly a nostalgia bringer. I do have to say though that the privilege thing is quite annoying. we live in modern days in which we should be able to request data on demand. if this site doesnt offer it like that, others will do immediately. i hope this can be resolved |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 9 | Hi, I joined this site some time ago as a member/lurker but only recently made the decision to become active. I love a wide range of video games, especially from the 80s and 90s, but what brought me to this site is the section on DOS games. I have multiple working older DOS machines, a Tandy 1000 SX, a 486 DX2 66 mhz, a pentium 233mhz, and a pentium 3 1ghz, all of which see some use from time to time depending on what specific era of DOS (or Windows) games I'm interested in at any given moment. What made me decide to become active is of course not only the ability for contributors to access disk images, but also that the people here seem to be my kind of people. I hope to be a solid contributor and am happy to be here. Thanks. |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 2 | Hello I am a mover/scrapper/hauler and a big fan of video games, computers, data hoarding, 90s honda's and lots of music. I come across computers and all kind of junk. I'm going to start grabbing older stuff. My oldest machine is a Dell C610 Laptop with a 1.2-GHz PIII-M 256Mb of ram and a 128gb SDcardHD running Windows 98SE and Puppy Linux Legacy OS. Anyways, I have some disks to upload but they are possibly bootlegs? And what about software? https://i.imgrpost.com/imgr/2019/09/18/6d4e4100-727b-4089-8ea0-9089a32c420f.jpg https://mega.nz/#!kl4mUAQJ!DEpWJyBrnvuYCUxnBEbw78Bo65savbsDVQGba0yoZw8 |

Do you happen to have any Thinkpads by any chance? Quote: Anyways, I have some disks to upload but they are possibly bootlegs? Um... bootlegs are as good as your own home made copies I'm afraid. We don't really accept those, but thanks anyway! Your uploads will be processed shortly. Quote: And what about software? Yes, we accept it, but again, as long as it comes from original media... ----- Cheer up! Member Baby Gumby Posts: 2 | @Moebius, Thinkpads are nice and usually bring some cash, I used to have a T40 that was very nice. My daily driver laptop now is a Powerbook G4 running Debian. I believe the discs of "Hoyle's Book of Games" "Super Voice 2.0" and "Indianapolis 500 the Simulation" are real. |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 8 | Hello, new member here! I'm a big fan of old MS-DOS games, in particular Sierra/LucasArts and similar adventures from the early to mid 90's. This site looks like a great resource, so I submitted a contribution of the 1990 King's Quest I remake for DOS with images taken from my own floppies, seeing as only the Amiga version of the remake was available here. Hopefully someone finds it useful, I'll keep digging in my own collection to see if there's anything else that hasn't been added yet |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 1 | Hi all. I've been collecting Pentium/Win9x/CD-ROM era games for many years, and I think I'm finally ready to take the leap back into Floppies. I've always been hesitant because DOS-era stuff is harder to find and usually more expensive and the volatility of disks has always scared me. But having this place as a resource to back up the stuff I find as well as a source for images of games I pick up that don't work, I think it'll be significantly less daunting. Super excited to get started! |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 1 | Hello, everybody! MinionKeys here! I am a 28-year-old male from New Zealand. When I was young and living in England (I would've been about 7-8), I loved playing old games on the family computer. By then, Windows 2000 was on it's way, but I didn't care. Me and the little family DOS machine had lots of fun memories. Games like Commander Keen and Jazz Jackrabbit were some of my favourites. Sometimes my dad would let me play Doom when my mum was asleep, but I didn't really get attached to Doom until I was a bit older (maybe about 13-14). I really hope you guys let me join this fantastic community of people just like me, who want to relive their, either childhood memories, or some younger people who want to make new ones. Thank you guys a lot. |
