I don't believe you guys haven't heard the name before, but if it doesn't ring a bell i shall inform you that Leonard Nimoy is mostly known for his prominent role as Spock in Star Trek series of 60s, which most of us had seen or at least heard of. Yes, the oldtimer is now finally on his way up to heaven... and even though it was a minor role in old TV show, for most he had become a truly legendary actor, who in our minds and hearts will always be Spock, the Vulcan first officer on board the starship Enterprise. Leonard Nimoy died on February 27, 2015 at the age of 83. ----- Cheer up! Remember the less you have, the more there is to get. ----- Edited by Vagabond at 18:57 on February 27th, 2015 |

As much as he might have hated being tied to this character so much, I think Star Trek would not have been the same without him. I guess it would not even have been without him (at least not more than a couple of unmemorable TOS episodes). He (or Spock at least, though he did a lot of other scientific stuff too) was also one of the people that got me into science. Well, Rest in Peace Mr. Nimoy! ----- The known is finite, the unknown infinite. - Thomas Henry Huxley |
