Member Zombie Gumby Posts: 3881 | Although, I created this thread primarily with floppy images in mind, I think it can be used for a wider variety of things like rare versions of ripped games, scans of manuals, code sheets or whatever else you are looking for. Trades are probably ok, too, I'm not sure. Beginning with my own request (floppy dumps): Blade Warrior (3.5") Chessmaster 2000 DarkSpyre (3.5") DarkSpyre (5.25") F29 Retaliator (5.25") Fire & Forget (5.25") (CP) Fire & Forget II (5.25") (CP) Fool's Errand (3.5") (CP?) Fool's Errand (5.25") CP?) Freddy Hardest in South Manhattan (5.25") (CP) Metal Mutant (3.5") Mixed-Up Fairy Tales (SCI/VGA) (5.25") Moebius (5.25") (CP) Prehistorik 2 (3.5") Solitaire Royale StarBlade (3.5") StarBlade (5.25") Ugh! Do you think we could fix that? ----- Cheer up! Remember the less you have, the more there is to get. ----- Edited by Moebius at 05:28 on April 13th, 2018 |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 32 | Hello! I recently got some games and ofcourse there are dead disks in them... first one is King's Quest V - 5.25" 1.2MB VGA version 0.000.051 , all my 5.25" disks are dead then Space Quest IV - 5.25" 1.2MB VGA version 1.052 same deal... lastly Rise of the Dragon - 5.25" 1.2MB VGA version 1.113.90 is is possible for someone to link them to me? I want to atleast try and format the original disks and write them again - not sure if I will succeed. Also I want to ask (pretty sure I did it again but I can't remember) , how can I download from the site? I have sent several image packs in the past from my games (pretty sure that's why I have some contribution points?) but I can't seem to access any files... am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance! edit: I do have Italy '90 and Red Storm Rising, don't know if the request above is still valid though ? ----- Edited by Moebius at 13:34 on November 21st, 2019 |

I have sent several image packs in the past from my games (pretty sure that's why I have some contribution points?) You must have 50 contribution points, but no worries... I think this policy is going to last another couple of days and then everyone is free to download what they want, at least those people who have been with us for a while and made a few posts here and there. Just wait a bit, please. P. S. By the way, I do recall you having "dead" disks just like that (Wing Commander I think), and they were ALL 5.25" HD. How is that even possible? Why only this particular type of disks? Again, are you SURE your drive is ok and is capable of reading 5.25" HD media? ----- Cheer up! Member Student Gumby Posts: 32 | oh that's great news then yes it's those disks only... the drive can read other disks just fine I also had more dead disks and interesting enough I have several copies of Wing Commander on both 3.5" and 5.25" media and only 1 set works so maybe they were crap to begin with... in the past I made some requests about dead disks, I see in my PM folder messages from you, flyers80, creosote... It appears I too have some bad sectors in my memory banks |

Member Zombie Gumby Posts: 3881 | Ok, I did ask that guy about the disks. He got only 3.5" versions of all these games... unfortunately. Some of them will be uploaded, some will be used to verify our existing sets. ----- Cheer up! Member Baby Gumby Posts: 8 | I've been looking for floppy images of the following games for a long time: I don't know if this game was ever released on floppies in America, I've only seen european versions of the floppy release but in any case it seems quite rare. 2. Igor: Objective Uikokahonia (1994) I think only the original spanish version (Igor: Objetivo Uikokahonia) was released on floppies. 3. Guilty (a.k.a. Innocent Until Caught 2) (1995) Never saw a physical copy of the floppy version for this one on sale! ----- Edited by dosgameruy at 04:16 on January 9th, 2020 |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 32 | awesome then! glad I could help! as a sidenote these disk images are 100% untouched - I got the game factory sealed years ago and created the images. Ofcourse if you want to play it you'll need a crack to remove the copy protection. |
