Actually, all I would need it a small table of smileys that would open in a new window when I click on a link in the "post new message screen". As it is now, if I used MSIE, I'd have to write the message in Notepad, go to the Help and find the smilies, and then copy/paste the message.

Ok. Since I think some people will also like clickable smilies, what about the 'common smilies' clickable and in addition a list?

That would work fine, in my opinion, if it's not too much trouble. It would actually fit nicely next to the message field; there's a large empty spot.

Yup. Put on the list. But that one is a bit more complicated, might take a bit longer.

Maybe here, but I'm currently rewriting my other main site completely (Abandonweb) because I managed to screw up the database completely. Now I decided I might as well redo it completely...

Just a little tiny detail: you may want to make attachments open in a new window. It's more a cosmetic change than something important...

Just a couple of minor things:

1. This might be a server problem, but the forum clock is about 5 hours early (at least where I'm living) - kinda makes it harder to spot new posts.

2. In the Announcements section, maybe you should show the title of the latest post on the main page, or at least some warning that a new announcement has been posted, otherwise most of us will probably miss them.

1. The forum is just displaying server time. This is Chicago or something.

2. There already is. When there is something new in a forum, the announcements or your messenger, the respective link is marked with >>>.

Here's an idea. How about enabling the [url] tags?
