Member Prof Gumby Posts: 336 | I can recall there being a few amatuer photography buffs around these parts and I'm on the hunt for a new Camera. I'm thinking about one of these I like the sound of the 10x optical zoom. Ive read mixed reviews though, however, these mixed reviews appear to rate the camera when the reviewer seems to know a lot about cameras, and they slate it when the reviewer doesnt seem to know much about cameras. It has to be lightweight and compact as well for walking/climbing purposes. Budget around US$450-$600. Any suggestions? |

Member Prof Gumby Posts: 336 | Those two reviews definately fit into the 'reviewer seems to know a lot about cameras' catagory ![]() I'm absolutely no expert on picture quality, but after reading through those reviews and looking in the galleries they provided, despite the problems with the purple thingy, which apparantly affect all big zoom cameras, and downloading a video clip of a guy surfing I have to say my mind is made up. Thanks for the links! ![]() Right, wheres the credit card... |
