Looking for an oldie-with rats!

I just remembered an old game I used to play-however, I can't remember how exactly it went, or what the name was.
This is what I do remember:

It was a fairly simple game. A bunch of rats were running around this 2-d maze-like structure, and you had to kill them all to proceed to the next level. You had boy-rats and girl-rats, and when they met each other in the maze, they well...fornicated and you ended up with even more rats to take care of. How exactly the killing of the rats took place I don't recall. I remember a very amusing sound effect whenever two rats met.
I think it is between 10-6 years old, and I think I may have encountered it on a (probably long-lost) shareware cd.
Has anybody got any clue as to what this game may have been called?

I tried looking for "rat game" in google, but I came up empty-handed.

Ohh I remember playing this game off of a shareware disc once too. I can't remember the name right now, and currently don't have access to any of the discs (who knows if they'd still read) it'd be a while before I could dig it up.

Oooh, another dedicated player ;)
Should you manage to find the time, please check!
(even the name of the shareware-disk itself may give me a hint, though)

It was a very generic name
I'm 99% sure that Mega Games was in the title of the disc, but it had nothing to do with Apogee Mega Games (but they might have been on there, but the name was pure coincidence)

Apogee Mega Games? Don't you mean Epic Mega Games?
