Member Prof Gumby Posts: 432 | Make that seven. I have the game, but it's about 1100 kb, too big to attach here. The upload page seems to have vanished from the site (or I'm blind-again) so we'll have to negotiate another way of transfer. If you like the review, that is. Oh, I managed to get my hands on Paint shop Pro 9, so screenshots are in .png-format. ----- If it ain't broken, you're not trying hard enough. |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11097 | The public upload script had been badly abused, so I removed it quite some time ago. Try E-Mail. Hint: http://www.goodolddays.net/forum/help.php?query=formatting ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11097 | Right, I've gone through the files with a fine brush now: -Please only hit the return / enter key if you actually want to have a forced line break (e.g. at the end of a paragraph, after a subheading and so on) - not after every single sentence or even in the middle of a sentence. [Edit: I should add that this is just a general remark for the future. I could easily fix that for this one, of course] -No 'window decorations' on screenshots which don't belong to a game natively, please. [solvable, if point after next is invalid] -Screenshots should be in the original resolution of the game. While it can sometimes be ok to make them smaller for the sake of reducing file size, don't blow them up to several times their original size artificially. [solvable, if next point is invalid] -Are you sure you haven't distorted the picture in the screenshots? If I remember correctly, SNES games usually don't use the 1.333333333 aspect ratio like currect PCs do. -Don't forget to make use of the game comparison feature And finally: Quote: If you like the review, that is. It doesn't matter at all whether I like it or not. As long as it meets the minimum criteria of length and understandable language, everything will be posted. I'm not dictating people's opinions.Edited by Mr Creosote at 23:56 on March, 03rd 2005 ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Prof Gumby Posts: 432 | The e-mail containing the game is on its way. I apparently did distort the image, so I'm now making new screenshots. Will post them here when done. Quote: -Don't forget to make use of the game comparison feature Sadly, again, it's not a true member of a genre. If I compared it, the games would be vastly different. Next game will fit a category better. ----- If it ain't broken, you're not trying hard enough. |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11097 | Perfect I'm just wondering why the sizes of the screenshots differ by one or two pixels each. Have you cut them out manually? If so, there have to be easier ways. ZSNES does have an internal screenshot function, for example - just a little hint to save you work. Anyway, the game has been added, now it's up to you to make a newspost. If you want to link to the game from there, check out the one I made in your name - it's actually really simple. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Prof Gumby Posts: 432 | Yep, cut manually-from a black background I've tried ZSNES and it always gives me trouble. It gives me a distorted image with black lines running horizontally through it. It's OK for multiplayer, but otherwise not very usable for me. Therefore, I use SNES9X, which can make .avi's but no screenshots. I hope the screenshot pixel thing isn't too big a problem... Newspost on the way. ----- If it ain't broken, you're not trying hard enough. |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11097 | Have you tried fiddling around with ZSNES' video config options? You shouldn't choose a video mode with 'S' attribute, because that distorts the picture. Also, nothing should be ticked under 'Scanlines'. New review acknowledged, but let's give the former one at least a few hours to stay on top of the news ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Prof Gumby Posts: 432 | yep, he looks kind of...psychotic. I hadn't seen the box for it yet, I only found the game in 2000 or so. Therefore, thanks, Tapuak! Posting news as we speak, two days should be enough and the news entry stays where it is anyway Mr Creosote: Believe me, I've fiddled with the ZSNES settings until I'd tried just about every combination of settings, but the lines kept appearing At first, I thought that the scanlines option was the culprit, but it wasn't. ----- If it ain't broken, you're not trying hard enough. |
