Can anyone analyze this error msg and help me fix the prob-
stop:0x000000BE (0xF98797F7, 0x02502121, 0xF9CC9128, 0x0000000B)
ACPI.SYS -address F9878FC3 base at F9865000 datestamp 3b7d8550

I'm running xp home, and the only thing I know of that might have caused the problem was a failed driver update. Any help would be appreciated.

If you had the slightest insight into computer history, you'd know that Guru Meditation was the error message on the Amiga - and in no way related to anything PC or Windows stuff, let alone """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""XP"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""".

Hard to make backups when you can't get the piece of garbage to turn on. It's totally worthless now, I have to send it in for repairs. :(

Have you tried plugging in your hd into another computer? You could maybe be able to backup the data that way...

It's too late to backup anything, I've already reinstalled xp several times (for all the good it did).

You tried a custom NTFS Repair BOOt Disk? If you boot up under DOS with a floppy there are utilities that will let you copy NTFS files from within DOS.

Check out www.bootdisk.com for some auto-install bootdisk archives.
