Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11098 | I'm not talking about the awful Sim City 2000 Network Edition, but an obscure multiplayer version of the original. Here's some information: http://web.archive.org/web/20030624032742/catalog.com/hopkins/simcity/simcity-announcement.html Not too much information about how multiplayer works, unfortunately. Being curious, I snooped around, and guess what I found - the FTP server hosting the game is still online! Now i only have to get my hands on a HPUX, Solaris, SGI or SPARC workstation... ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11098 | That's strange - I've never seen pages being removed from archive.org before. Try this one instead: http://web.archive.org/web/20021002040410/http://catalog.com/hopkins/simcity/simcity-announcement.html. As for it being a demo... too bad, but it's a start. Realistically, I wouldn't have found anyone to play with anyway ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |
