![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11573 | Didn't want to reactivate this thread and force people to wade through four pages of old stuff, but if you have no idea what this is about, you better have a brief look there for preparation. Anyway, we did three of these reviews a year ago and since I'm once again fairly bored with producing 'classic' write-ups, I'd really love to do more. Anyone up to it? ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1092 | Sounds interesting, but right now I have been spending my free time with the Ultima saga and have to review the sixt and the two Worlds of Ultima. The three were surprisingly short (well, except Savage Empire that I couldn't finish because a design problem), I think because this time I kept organized notes. And the next games I wish to play are the five following PC Ultima, but I can try this kind of review and play a different game before starting another of them. |

![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11573 | If you already have a clear plan what to play or review next, you don't have to interrupt it for my sake. Just go along and we can still do a review together when you've finished this ![]() ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11573 | Argh! I was just going to suggest one ![]() Seriously, any non-RPG is fine with me. So just suggest something and then we'll do it while Wandrell finishes those Ultima games. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

![]() Member Retired Gumby Posts: 936 | Pretty much all I can suggest are PC games, unless you really want to stay within the Amiga system, I'll have a suggestion by tomorrow night my time. ----- Keep your stick on the ice |

![]() Member Retired Gumby Posts: 936 | Well I got home today and I looked through my collection. It's drifted into pretty much 80s only games, and for IBM computers that meant mail order arcade stuff mostly, which I don't think is good for a discussion review. So I guess its back to you, I'll play a detective adventure but I might need some hints to finish it. ----- Keep your stick on the ice |

![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11573 | Right. As I said, I've had trouble choosing games for at least two years now, so don't expect too much. I tried to leave the complete Adventure genre out (which was incredibly hard), so here are a few choices for MS-DOS: Castles 2 (obvious popular choice), Dominus (has been sitting on my 'to try out' shelf for... ten years now, sounds intriguing), Privateer (that one would probably write itself), Micro Machines 2 (the special edition with the track editor is especially noteworthy). ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1092 | Of Castles 2 there seem to be some noticeable differences in the CD and Diskette version, but of the CD version I have just played the demo so I can't tell if they stayed for the end version. Apart from documentals, I remember it had an improved justice hall for when you have to choose an action, and... well, I think there where more differences. |
