KISS -- ,,, well, me creo, you have a great site BUT-- i think you need to supply us with more info at your download pages to as to whether we need another file like kickstart just to run games, I only found this out AFTER trying to run the win-fellow (plus a couple of others) to get an amiga game to run,, then only after reading the "error help-me crap" when it wouldn't load I then then had to return to your site and search for kickstart, then ended up in stupid forums then following a link to an apparent $39.95 disk seller with more confusing links?,, if confusing us and getting a cut from a netseller is what this is all about then please tell us upfront so I dont have to waste another 30mins just to download a gamefile, then another non-working emulator.. (oh, it did'nt load correctly? Try running it from a clean-dos YOU IDIOT!---Hey STUUPID, don't forget the :mount c: command!! ect ect ect..), I have plenty of cussing of the site admins because they don't spell it out for us morons like they're supposed to.....bob

This has nothing to do with the server move, so I split your post to a new topic.

Anyway, no offense, but I have a hard time following your post. Sometimes, capitalization, punctuation and paragraphs help.

As far as I can understand, you're asking for every game being accompanied by a step-by-step manual on how to run it. This isn't possible for one simple reason: there's an unlimited number of completely different client systems which our visitors use, so the methods to run these games are completely different, too, of course. How do you fit an unlimited amount of such manuals on a page? And who would create them?

In any case, the common ways aren't specific per game, but per system. Pretty much every games for MS-DOS is run the same way, pretty much every game for AmigaOS is run the same way and so on. That is why there are general guides/FAQs available. If there are special requirements, they're listed in the review (like I wrote about The Shadow of the Third Moon lately, for example). Reproducing the same piece of information again and again would just be ridiculous.

As for your insinuations about the Kickstarts:
1. Obviously, you need a functioning Amiga setup to run an Amiga game. Even though this is obvious, it's clearly explained in the FAQ.
2. I don't earn any money with this site. I pay the server costs from my own pocket, there are no ads and no sponsored links. I take even the insinuation as an insult, because, yes, I have always told everybody openly and clearly what's going on.
3. The reason why you can't download Kickstarts here is clearly spelled out both on the front page (!) of the site as well as the FAQ: they're sold commercially.

Last, but not least, you seem to complain about the tone of the answers here in this forum (most likely, this applies to this answer, too). Anybody who's asking seriously, i.e. in a polite way (unlike you) and something which hasn't been answered in the same thread five posts earlier gets a polite answer. If that is violated, i.e. the answer is already there, what do you expect? If people aren't willing to take five minutes to read the same thread they're going to post in at least, they basically don't deserve any answer at all. Because I still want to help them somehow at least, I tell them where to look and let them know this would have been obvious to a non-blind person. Still more polite than the ignorant question which triggered such a reaction. Again, keep in mind that I'm (and this applies to the other crewmembers as well) doing this as a hobby in my free time. I'm spending time and money on it, and I'm still willing to help pretty much everybody with their problems, no matter how stupid these problems might seem to me. All that in spite of my obligation to do any of this being exactly zero. And quite frankly, posts like yours don't exactly raise motivation. If you have any serious suggestion about what to improve on the site, I'll listen, but pure whining will not make you look good.

Now you see the violence inherent in the system!
