Here you have a platformer, you know, a game that is about jumping around. Only this one is all just about jumping and bouncing your way across puzzles filled with dangers and death. Oh well, that is all the game has, really, but it’s something to see.
Starting with the basics, things are simple: press one direction, it moves, press up and you make it jump as high as you wish. There seems to be no problem, you can stop anytime you wish and take a look at the level, planning what to do next.
Unless you find yourself over ice, where you slide endlessly, or over a platform that will disappear soon, or trapped in teleporters that you don’t know where will take you next but obviously end in a deadly trap, or maybe there is just an enemy slowly sliding towards you. All the levels are small, but as you see there is quite a variety of things, mostly walls and floors, that make the puzzles interesting.
The idea is getting all the objects from the level, then an exit opens somewhere and you make your way to it. At the beginning this looks awfully easy, but then you reach a point where the thing starts demanding inhuman reflexes and plenty of tries.
Once you finish all the puzzles of a zone, you get to the next one and receive a password for it. By the way, I have no problem retrying but always wondered why they had to use a password based selection system, maybe a technical limitation but saving or just letting you choose the level would have been nice.
Anyway, what more can be said? This is quite a simple yet original game, colourful, fun, fast and furious. Well, maybe the last one should be changed to frustrating, but what matters is that it is fun.
