Review by Underdogs:
A simple arcade motorboat racing game, Offshore Warrior nevertheless offers a lot of gameplay despite 4-color CGA graphics. Your goal is simple: compete in a motorboat tournament that spans the globe. While the tracks, which range from North Canada to Australia, look almost identical, they differ in length and difficulty.
Although the graphics is crisp (for CGA) and the controls are intuitive, Offshore Warrior doens't offer many options. There is a few tracks, the obstacles are repetitive, and you can't even choose a boat to compete in. This makes the game more similar to, say, the arcade sequence in Sierra's Space Quest 1, than full-fledged boat racing simulations like Accolade's Heat Wave. The game's appeal is therefore limited to the action crowd, or die-hard fans of the sport.
