Review by Rob:
Overdrive is a fun fast-paced overhead racing game by Team 17. In the style of Magnetic Field's Super Cars 2, although not as enjoyable as that classic. It's a conversion of the Amiga game from 1993, so this PC game was released two years later and it's overall a very good conversion with smooth scrolling, all the nice sounds and speech from the Amiga, good controls and also a MOD routine to replay Allister Brimble's Amiga music. Supports a two-player mode but only by linking two computers with a serial cable - no split-screen mode. The game has to be run in real DOS mode, otherwise game speed will be very slow (not in Windows!). Also in 1995 Team 17 released a second overhead racer called ATR, but that one never made it to the PC from Amiga version.
