Review by Underdogs:
Troll's Tale is a charming, early kid's game from Al Lowe, creator of Leisure Suit Larry series. The object is simple: collect treasures in a world populated by Trolls and other fantasy creatures. Similar to Al Lowe's earlier Winnie the Pooh in Hundred Acres Wood, Troll's Tale was designed with kids in mind. The parser is a simple VERB-NOUN type, and does an adequate job, although the game's vocabulary is quite limited (it wont' recognize many synonyms, for example). A nice addition is the map that comes with the game-- along with little markers you can use to mark the locations of each treasure once you find it. Overall, a decent, small adventure for kids that unfortunately hasn't fared well with time.. the 4-color CGA palette will probably discourage kids from playing this one. Good for nostalgia's sake, though :)
