Teenage Lawnmower
Sounds unique, right? Indeed it is. Although the game does have a 'meta' plot (i.e. helping your mother) that evolves as you progress, it is quite non-linear because you always have a choice of which jobs to take. At the beginning of the game, for example, you could mow the lawn at the cemetary, or the city park. The actual mow-the-lawn action is largely arcade oriented: you control the lawnmower from an isometric 3D perspective, and you must mow the entire lawn within the given time limit. You will find various power-ups on the lawn that would make your job easier, including nitro-gas (boost your speed) and tools (repair damage). One of the best things about this game is that each lawn has its own challenges - when you mow the cemetary, for example, you can expect to run into undead monsters and various tombstones that block your way.
Excellent graphics, fun gameplay, and even a funny plot that unfolds as you play make Teenage Lawnmower another quality game from the creator of Dink Smallwood. Be warned, though: the time limit on some lawns may be too strict for the reflexes-impaired.
