Review by Underdogs:
One of the best - if not THE best - PC poker games ever made, Amarillo Slim Dealer's Choice is a highly underrated and rare gem from Villa Crespo, best known for their long-running series of casino games. Featuring Amarillo Slim, one of the best poker players in history, ASDC not only offers a realistic game of poker, but was the first poker game to offer a wide range of gameplay options, including scoring rules, ante and bidding sizes, and many others. The game's hallmark, however, was the outstanding "Tutor" feature: the computer helper that will calculate precise odds at any time during the game. You can see the odds against the next card improving your high hand to possible poker hands given your current situation, e.g. "a pair of tens," Both exact and minimum odds are shown for each possibility, and the Tutor even calculates the probability of winning for you given all the odds, as well as the best hand possible.

The Tutor feature alone elevates ASDC above and beyond other poker games, and is the main reason why it remains fun and even educational (if you are interested in how professional gamblers play) over a decade later. If you are looking for a realistic casino-style poker game, look no further than this underdog from the best developer in the genre. Two thumbs up!
