The Many Faces of The Good Old Days

by Mr Creosote (07 Sep 2024)

The Good Old Days first opened its doors on February 26th, 2000, after several months of planning and preparation. It was, in many ways, a typical personal website of its time. The initial plan was to cover 24 games:

A mere four were covered at opening: Balance of Power: The 1990 Edition, Battle Bugs, Brutal Sports Football and The Chaos Engine.

Of course, over the years, it grew into much more. Without the initial, positive reception, it wouldn’t have. Without the long list of volunteers joining in, it wouldn’t have. There were ups and downs. Trends came and went. We’re still there, and by now, this still privately owned website, operated with absolutely no financial interests, has become a huge anachronism. In a good or bad way, you judge it for yourself.

When was the first time you visited? Maybe these pictures could refresh your memory.
