Description – Simple program – simple interface – simply serial. This transfer program is great for DOS sessions. Have a laptop that needs some files? Want to transfer some drivers from one system to another without networking? Want to backup your system to another hard drive, and you don’t care for hundreds of floppies, or don’t have a burner to make CDs? This is the helper for you. With a serial cable attached to both systems, this program can either automatically choose the fastest transfer speed between both systems, or you can specify it in a configuration file. The only drawback is that you must have the same version of this program running on both computers. The documentation is great, and the program is so easy to use it’s just not funny. I’ve tried other programs that are commercial, and this program does the same things. The only differences are that this program isn’t as fancy-looking, and it’s free to non-commercial use. Users who have any strain of DOS will definitely find this program a “Must Have”.

Type – Freeware for non-commercial use.

Compatibility – Works with any strain of DOS, and even works well enough in a DOS window. I used it between Win98se and PC-DOS with no ill side effects (it ran in a DOS window on my 98 machine).
