This game will probably be fairly unknown. It is a game which could be downloaded from the website of the manufacturer of agricultural machinery Claas a few years ago.

If you always wanted to drive a harvester, this game will be just right for you. That is because it is the game’s sole purpose to drive around a field and harvest as much crop as possible. In that process, you have to avoid different obstacles and take care not to run over small hares or deer with your blades. Otherwise, the game will be over and if you have collected a sufficient amount of points, you can enter your name into the high score list.

The controls are relatively easy. You steer your vehicle left and right with the respective cursor keys and in addition, you can accelerate and decelerate. Apart from that, your harvester will drive all on its own, always in upward direction on this seemingly never-ending field.

You receive points automatically just through driving, but not so many. To get more points, you should collect the Claas logos, because this finally enables you to use a bigger set of blades which will then quadruple the amount of points you receive. Harvesting dark spots in the field also get you more points, because the grain there is thicker. The bright spots, on the other hand, should be avoided, because they will decrease your points. After some time, a tractor with a tumbril will appear on the road on the left-hand side. Then, you should get close to it and if you manage to fill the tumbril up, you will get some bonus points.

So far, so good. Of course, the game is not perfect. That would be asking too much, because it is free after all. The sound comes from the PC speaker, that is how it was back then. The graphics are basically good, but the scrolling could be better. The gameplay idea is quite nice, but the game is still too simple to really entertain for several hours.
