Member Bachelor Gumby Posts: 57 | Great Game, but you're right: I hated the same things. The fights were just annoying and it really bored me to search the bookshelf in Venice for half an hour jost to find all the hidden single books... Labyrinths ain't fun too, so it's just an average Lucasarts title... ----- …for beauty is always cruel |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11398 | About the Venice library: The pixel hunting is bad enough in itself, but the worst thing in my opinion is that you don't even know you're looking for something (let alone what) in that situation. For a first-time player, there is no incentive to search the shelves at all, especially since the puzzle to find the catacombs is rather easy and thus quickly solved without much need for aimless wandering. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 7 | I had hours of fun with this game as a kid. My and my best friend (to this day, and we are in our 30's) would gather around my Packard Bell 3.1 machine, and figure this thing out. We found it difficult, but we never found it frustrating or unplayable, like some people have claimed it to be. If a couple of 6-8 year olds can figure it out, surely everyone else can. Glad to see it is preserved, and loved by others. I still have my original Grail Dairy that came with the thing, although I have long lost the disks. |
