Hi!

Posting my introduction here in hopes of being granted download access.

Found this community linked on the Redump wiki and browsed about a bit and got very excited when I stumbled across what I believe to be the original 16 color palette German release of Monkey Island 1.

That's how I first played the game so it holds extra nostalgia, but I had no luck finding that particular version anywhere, so keeping my fingers crossed.

Cheers!

Hi all

I found this site via a google search for Space Quest 1. I have Space Quest 2 in its original box form and am enjoying playing it again but thought I would go back one step further and play the original.

I love retro gaming and am a collector of retro computers and game consoles.

When I tried to register I discovered that I had already signed up way back in 2014 but do not have download ability. Am hoping to rectify that.

Hello Everyone! Hope all is well. I am a long time user of computers my first being an apple II, then a Macintosh and a zenith 386 sx. I have many fond memories of computing and gaming but recently was inspired to try and recover some of my old software from those days to share with my kids. I love what you guys and gals are doing here. I think digital preservation is key to ensure this stuff last in its original form forever.

I need to go through your library and see if I might be able to add to it. Also please provide me with access to the img files to make sure I don't have any disk of my own that I can't read.

Thanks everyone and keep up the good work!

Moinmoin!
Ich bin das Ergebnis von 386 -> 486DX 66Mhz -> Pentium 166 Mhz...
Commander Keen, Duke Nukum, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey2, SamnMax, Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Warlords2, Siedler, Duke3d, DarkForces...

uschi

Hello all!

I am currently in the process of trying to generate a full set of images of the King's Quest games. I have a Kryoflux and bought copies of all of the games from eBay. Of course, these floppies are very old now and getting a valid read from them is very difficult.

I recently managed to create a Kryoflux raw image by creating a hybrid from the raw tracks from two separate copies of the game. It boots on my PC Jr. and I am able to generate a play disk from the copy. I'm hoping that means the image will be fully playable! For anyone with a Kryoflux, I've just submitted a zip file of the raw stream for approval.

I found this site a while back and registered, but I'm only now finding the time to try to create my image collection.

I have a collection of classic PCs from the PC Jr. through to my modern PC. I can contribute more as I find the time to make the images.

Anybody willing to share Kryoflux streams, please let me know. If it helps us create singular working images, it will be all the better for all members!

Hello,

My name is Scott. I started gaming back in the 80s, I don't remember exactly when but I really liked old Sierra Adventure games. Also, loved the Ultima series. I found you on google while searching for King's Quest. Your website seems useful with information about many old DOS games. I like it. My favorite platform would be MS-DOS and my favorite genres are adventure and role playing.

Hi I'm currently building a 486 dx2 66 retro dos 6.22 win 3.11 and have dos-box running on a raspberry pi. I was borne in 1983 and remember my first PC a Tandy 1000 HX with CGA graphics. Then we upgraded to a Tandy 1000 RLX. I still have both but just recently the hard drive in the RLX died. I looked for a replacement but found it I could get the parts to build a 486 system and have more fun then just replacing the hard drive. Lately i have been really looking back on the good old days fondly. I stumbled on this site by googling wing commander 2 img.

hi! new member here - well this seems quite like the site for me as i am a collector of old games and like to also repair my floppy disks for them.

I am quite fond of combat flight sims and wargames as well as some sci-fi and rpg, but the bulk of my collection is flight sims and i would say that Tornado, Their Finest Hour and Air Warrior are probably my favourites currently with the collection (it can change) other favorables are Fleet Defender, Aces over Europe, Combat Air Patrol

Hello.

New membre here.

Found your site while looking for wing commander 3.5 disks as mine are the 5.25 version.
Impressive , huge collection is here.
I didnt get the point how to DL something but I will take time to read the big FAQ.

As I said,I like Origin Systems games and the wing commander saga.
But I need 3.5 disks to install my secret ops (asking for disk 4 as I only have 3 disks 1.2Mo 5.25...).

Thanks for everything.

Have a god day/night :)

Hiyas,
Yet another new member to the forum. As a huge fan of PC games from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s I have a focused interest in the topics discussed here and am looking forward to being part of this effort.

Mostly a collector of games in original format I maintain vintage machines to explore them with.

Favorites? Wow, that is a challenging question. So many to choose from. I truly enjoy WWII flight sims but also love all of Sierra's efforts. Then there is the Hidden and Dangerous series, Doom and …………

Enuff on that :)

Hi,

I was doing a livestream on the MiSTer board using the AO486 core and, unfortunately, it doesn't have a CD option (only floppy) which limits my usage a bit. I was looking around for disk images to help install some games and other than one other site, which has a small collection, I found yours.

(The MiSTer livestream is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8ZP-OkN5gM - please excuse the faffing especially around setting the memory up)

Registering here means that I can do more with that MiSTer core (that includes livestreaming as I've already done a couple) and it'd be good to see some more installation programs - weirdly I do miss those.

So...erm....that's it I suppose! :D

Hi everyone I'm new here, i found this website by accident while searching for floppy images of old dos games, as far as i know this is the only website that has a huge library of floppy images and that's cool. Other than that well i wasn't born in the times of dos unfortunately so i hope to be able to experience these great games.

Hello fellow "good old days" fans!
I'm a new member posting from Japan.

I found this site by searching for "DOS disk images," and was shocked to see all the images available here. Needless to say, I am very impressed with this site!

PC compatible/MS DOS is my absolute favorite game platform of all time. I have so many fond memories of playing RPGs from Origin and SSI, adventures from Sierra and Lucasarts, and of course all the great shareware action games from Apogee and Epic!

I have just completed building a dedicated DOS gaming machine today, and am looking forward to some more late late nights playing DOS games until the sun begins to rise, just like 30 years ago!
