Member Pupil Gumby Posts: 12 | Hi, I signed up a few days ago. My main interest is old DOS-based pinball games like Pinball Dreams, Pinball Illusions, etc. But I also have fond memories of the old Leisure Suit Larry series. I really like playing with DOSBox and tweaking the settings to get things working the way I remember them. I'm eager to learn more about making images of my old floppies before they deteriorate and tracking down some I sold off and no longer have. I found the site by searching for Silverball disk images. |

![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 10783 | Hello, allshookup! I fear you will not find many like-minded Sieera lovers here right now, but as you can see on the site, the coverage of pinball games goes way beyond those you mentioned ![]() ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

It's incredible, that you have that FoxPro version one of our guests has been looking for quite some time. ![]() And as far as Sierra games are concerned, I guess I am one of the few who actually likes them a lot, with all their faults and quirks. It's been so long since I've played any of them it's hard to say but I enjoyed the series up through LSL 6. By then the series had run it's course and by then I didn't have a lot of time to play them anymore. But now I'd like to take a peek at them again for nostalgia reasons. ----- Edited by allshookup at 16:01 on September 7th, 2013 |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 1 | Hi, I found this great webpage googleing some 90's games. My very favorite games are the LucasArts adventures and I like to play jump & run games. Whenever possible I use DosBox to play DOS games as it gives you the real 80'S and 90's feeling when you start a game. I even use Xtree to copy games around :-) (I wish DosBox could deal with this out of the box but it needs an additional patch) I was wondering about some things about this site. There are Images of quiet a few games to download but there is no game entry when I search for it (e.g. x-Wing) or not all Images are linked to the game (e.g. Pizza Connection (3 downloads; 2 are linked). Are these databases so seperated? |

Are these databases so seperated? Your assumption is correct. The main part of the site is really about presenting games in their entirety, the disk images are about cataloguing game versions. We don't really want to water down the former with lots of entries with only minimal information, so we're keeping the side project separate. Linking between the two is done by hand, so it's very well possible there are inconsistencies. If you can point out more of them, we'll do our best to fix these cases. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Pupil Gumby Posts: 10 | Hello! New user here. I love good old games, especially point and click adventures like the classics by LucasArts, Sierra etc. I like the concept of this site, I mean the floppy images preservation side of it. Do you host CD images as well? I haven't seen any so far. Anyway it seems you currently have very few French versions, so maybe I could help you with that. If I happen to have some English games that you don't have, I'll happily share them too! |

It would be really great if you could share those French games with us, considering how non-English games are severely neglected by the major nostalgia-sites (*cough*GOG*cough*). ----- The known is finite, the unknown infinite. - Thomas Henry Huxley |

Member Pupil Gumby Posts: 10 | Quote: Which is French-owned and operated, isn't it? I thought so too, but according to wikipedia it's a Polish company. They are slowly trying to correct that and add more languages to the games they offer, but they have a lot of work on their plate! Thing is, since they go "by the rules", they need to secure the rights for these localized versions, which can be a pain to do, as often the developer/editor has shut down or has been bought by some big company etc. Fortunately we don't have to deal with any of that! ![]() |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 2 | Ahoy there! I just stumbled on this site while looking up a few old games I picked up today. Why on earth didn't I know about it before? Anyway, it looks like the perfect home for me, a collector of ridiculously oversized PC game boxes and other stuff from days gone by. Can't wait to see what goes on here. So yeah, that's my short introduction post. Hi! |
