Review by Underdogs:
One of the best promotional games ever made, Moorhuhn is a fun bird (and a few other animals) shooting game that was responsible for a severe productivity drop in Germany since 1998 ;) (joking, of course). Although produced as a free game to promote the Johnny Walker label, the game itself has very little to do with liquor. The goal is simply to shoot down as many flying chicken as you can to score points. The game's name translate roughly as "moorland chicken," but the landscape is much more varied than the name "moorland" suggests, full of interesting structures (the windmill being the most prominent) that are not just eye candy. You can shoot at the windmill, for instance, and many other landscape objects for even more points. One of the best things about the game is the great illusion of depth and very crisp, detailed SVGA graphics. Ambient music and sound effects are also very well done, and add a lot of atmosphere to the game.

Control of the game is very simple: left mouse button fires the rifle, right button reloads it. With funny sound effects, crisp SVGA graphics, and extremely addictive gameplay, Moorhuhn Jagd is one of the best hunting games ever made, and ironically better than most commercial hunting titles. Highly recommended!
