Review by Underdogs:
Battle Boys is a fun freeware vertical shooter that sports a novel idea: two players must collaborate in order to survive. Although you can play solo, it is much more fun to play with a friend in co-op hotseat mode, since each player has different skills: one can create a sort of "force field" that serves as shield, while the other player is weaker but can drop medikits to replenish health. The graphics is crisp and polished with cartoony look, and the enemies are all imaginative. In addition to shooting enemies, you also have to avoid various spikes and traps along the way. The game is also fairly long - I and my brother made our way past level five and there is still no end in sight. If you are looking for something different from the norm or a fun shooter that harks back to the fun co-op mode of Twinbee, take a look at this fun and polished underdog. Thumbs up!
