For World of Xeen (I was trying just MM4 alone) it seems that there is no way to avoid the question, but I have a copy cracked as I said. If necessary it can be uploaded.

Well, after trying it again, it seems that the game is cracked, but not always works well. Writing only one letter works, the better would be trying to go outside as soon as possible and continue the game if it accepts your answer.

Weird then but worked for me. Can another person try it?

That's highly unlikely, as GO.BAT just calls a crack executable which is present in neither of the archives.

The copy of MM5 haves a bat called "go", if you put it in the MM4 directory and start the game using it the question accepts any answer.

You're just asked, when leaving Vertigo (the city, where you beginn in World of Xeen). As far as I know it is really just that question being asked.

After taking a look, World of Xeen does ask the copy protection question. Darkside of Xeen does not ask one when exiting the town, unless there is a chance of being asked each time you cross the door, which I doubt.

Sorry for not guiving instructions for joining the games, I had a copy with that already done, and withouth copy protection so I can't help with that, and also I had not found the manuals for the game, just the maps.

Thanks, but is that one manual enough? No check for 'Darkside of Xeen'? Also, is the check present in 'World of Xeen', so is the same manual needed for two entries?

You need the manual of "Clouds of Xeen" (Link) to get out of the first town (which indeed is the copy protection )
With the "World of Xeen"-manual it is not possible to answer the question.

Modified the reviews. Taking care of the manuals / copy protection now.

The first step is enough to combine them. I let the install.exe run, because I didn't like the soundsetting "PC Speaker"

Ok, to add the step-by-step instructions, I'll have to make sure they're correct:

1. Copy xeen.cc from MMIV to MMV.
2. Execute install? Run the 'install' executable? For what purpose - what happens then?

Well, not as detailed as needed. Becaus I copied the dark.cc into the MMIV-directory. And that way it doesn't work. *g* So you have to know which files have to be overwritten and that is neither in the reviews nor in the news.
But you are right, that the news and reviews both tell that it is possible at all.

Er... it says so right here on this site... both in the news and in the reviews.

Do you know a probability to combine Clouds of Xeen and Dark Side of Xeen to World of Xeen? I know with the original it was possible, although I don't know how. Any ideas?
