The (superior) Amiga version is available here as well...

I just found out the solution.
I'll post it here, could be useful if others encounter the same problem.

In the dosbox.conf file I changed the following settings:

fullresolution=1024x768 (or whatever your resolution is)
fullfixed=true
output=overlay

According to advice from Dosbox admin one should always add the "fullfixed=true" when using a TFT monitor.
The other two changes are optional but recommended for higher compatibility.

Thanks again for your advice Wandrell.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply!

I had Dosbox already on my PC, I use it to play my old Crusader games, but didn't think about it before.
Sound works with Dosbox, but when I want to change to full screen my TFT monitor says "Input Not Supported". I googled around a little and saw a few threaads from people who experienced the same problem when playing older games in Dos mode. But no hint if there is a solution.

Can you help me out again Wandrell?

Thanks.

Hi all,

I stumbled upon your great site (I'm a nostalgic introvert) while searching for a PC version of "The Chaos Engine". I used to play the original game on my Amiga 500 but after time got the better of it I stuck to WinUAE. Lost all my emus/roms after my HDD crashed recently; talking about making no backup, silly me.

So I downloaded CE from your site and while the game runs smooth there's no sound.
I'm using a Pentium III and Windows XP.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
