Outpost, German, Version 1.1 for Windows 3.x
7 x 3.5" HD (1440kB)

I recently got this version from eBay. The game installs and runs fine. There are some deleted files, but looking at it closely, I do think these might be factory orphans.

Have fun,

RetroBunny

@escarioth,

Pirates!: This game is a PC Booter. Good thing you made a Teledisk image of disk 1, because ordinary IMA/IMG won't do here at all. Now please, dump disk 2 with Teledisk, too.

No problem i'll make the other disk.

Found the following bugs in the database:

- #3121: Wrong image size (should be 5.25" DS DD (360kB))
- #3125: Wrong number of disks (should be 3) + wrong sha1 hashes
- #3132: Wrong sha1 hashes
- #3148: There is a Thumbs.db included in the .7z archive

Have a great day!

@escarioth,

Added:

Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender (3149)

Not added:

Conquest of Camelot: Modified RootDir (AT), orphaned System Volume Information Folder, modified RESOURCE.CFG, otherwise the same as ID 1127.

Pirates! collected and will be tested. Thank you.

Maybe your drive was acting up a bit... somehow I don't think it was the last time it was readable :) Try again just for the hell of it.

@RetroBunny,

Thank you very much. All corrected.

@escarioth,

Orphaned SIERRA folder (21/10/1993) on disk 1, otherwise the same as ID 2781. Did you attempt installation to the source disk? And is/was your other machine's clock set to year 1993 by any chance? This is very important.

Planet X3 for MS-DOS by David Murray (a.k.a. "The 8-Bit Guy")
Source: http://www.the8bitguy.com/product/planet-x3-for-ms-dos-computers/

Planet X3 is a game for MS-DOS, funded by a recent Kickstarter campaign.

I bought this game today from the developer's website for 15$ as a digital download. The developer shipped a ZIP file including both 720K and 360K disk images. These images are completely untouched and do include the latest updates the developer released this summer. There is no copy protection.

This version is newer than the versions of #3142 and #3143, although these versions also seem untouched. Just slightly older.

Have fun :-)

The game was sealed. unless someone rewrapped the whole box but at first glance nothing seems used.

i didnt even try the game. i put the 2 disks right away in to make them into .ima
after sending them to you i installed the game back on the 486 i'm using here.

the current machine wich i use to make .ima is set to date (plug to internet) so about that folder, unless it was really made in 1993.. i don't know how i could have changed anything.

or maybe unless someone re-wrapped the whole box to make it look like a new/sealed one.

-------
uploading

-=Star control 2=-
4 disks - 3.5" - 1.44mo
*All working BUT...-_- i noticed that one of the label 'seems' to have been
lifted.. if yes, then my disk #1 is probably a bad copy

Sorry to barge in, but this cannot be made available. It's not in our interest to hurt this guy's business. The purpose is to preserve and catalogue software otherwise unavailable.

Thank you for all this info, I just had to confirm it.

Added:

Manhunter: New York (3150): v1.22. Manual copy protection. Missing _MH.BAT (factory fault). Orphaned SIERRA folder (21/10/1993) on disk 1 (disk was allegedly sealed and never used before, possibly rare revision) and disk 2 is the same as ID 2781.

Not added:

Star Control 2: Disk 1 and 4 are modified (OEM ID, AT, System Volume Information, etc.), otherwise the same as ID 1005, which is already verified.

@RetroBunny,

Added:

Planet X3 (3151): Verified

Planet X3 (3152): Verified

Note: Entries have been created for general info and hash strings for those who obtained the game legally and wish to verify their media against our database, but downloads will not be available here as per Mr Creosote's remark. Sorry. Previous links to files contributed by escarioth have been removed as well, but the latter's status likewise set to verified since there seems to be little doubt as to their integrity.

I can see why you guys decided against hosting Planet X3. Okay. Thanks for creating the database entry for reference, though. Appreciated!

Aaand, I hate to tell you that #3150 "Manhunter: New York" is somehow not available for download, yet. Sorry. Just wanted to let you know.

Keep it up guys :-) !

Would you need me to upload a scan of the copy protection ?
