Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11140 | Because when you made the posts in the first place, you used a different spelling than in your 'official' username. I did a quick database operation replacing 'zork' with 'Zork', and now it's working. Since this could be considered a bug, I added one line of code to the script which ensures there's always the right spelling stored automatically, so this shouldn't occur again. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 30 | But why could I edit my new post with zork and Zork and my old posts whether with zork or Zork? |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 30 | As you wish. Will I paid for board beta testing? As you can now see it works now. An error in dataase? Edited by Zork at 20:14 on November, 02nd 2004 |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 30 | Perhaps an error in the database? My posting on top of page 2 I also can't edit and this has no quote. Well it's not really important. Now I can edit new postings and if I can't again edit sometimes I can post a new reply. |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11140 | Then, there's absolutely no reason why it shouldn't work. The last idea I have is that it's the only one of your posts including a quote... Edited by Mr Creosote at 19:23 on November, 02nd 2004 ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 30 | I wrote my answer before I read your answer so it was no offense from me. But the strange thing is that I now can edit it with different IP's and with zork an Zork. So the capitalisation was also no reason. And I'm not too stupid to edit a post I changed nothing in my doing and now it works. edit test Edited by Zork at 19:05 on November, 02nd 2004 |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11140 | You may think what you want, but I can assure you that isn't the answer Anyway, looking into the database, I saw that you indeed made the post in question as 'zork' and not as 'Zork'. That's the only point which could cause this. Are you using the preview function when editing? ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 30 | I think so because now I have edited it immediately and now it works. But everytime I'm online I have a different IP and can't edit old posts. edit test 4 Edited by Zork at 19:08 on November, 02nd 2004 |
