Review by Underdogs:
Adagio is a great horizontal shooter from Gaping Wolf Software, maker of the excellent HalfLight game. The plot: "you are Karth Solemu, test pilot. Your world is in danger, and the only functional warship lies in your hands. What will you do? You are not a warrior, but you will fight.
Similar to HalfLight, Adagio offers great "retro" graphics, gameplay, and nonstop action. The game is similar to R-Type and Gradius in terms of graphical style and endless streams of bullets. But it goes above and beyond by sporting nice anime-style intro and cutscenes. Last but not least, a fully functional level/enemy editor is included in the package. Anyone who likes HalfLight or atmospheric shooters with plot in general will have a lot of fun with this underdog. I find Adagio a bit too difficult for my reflex-challenged hands, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the game :)
