Member Baby Gumby Posts: 5 | Hello, my name is David, I am from Germany. I found a link to your page on heise.de My Video Games History: As far as I can remember I started gaming with Nintendo's game&watch handhelds. Later my parents bought an Atari 2600 home console and this is when gaming with my friends started: Centipede, Pac-Man, Defender, Mr. Do! etc. After this the personal computer era begun in our home: Commodore Plus4 (Scramble...), the beloved C64 (Airborne Rangers, Pirates...) and the beloved Atari ST (Larry 2, North & South, Ultima V...). And then of course the IBM-PC compatible MS-DOS machines (Railroad Tycoon, Wing Commander, Rampart, PGA Tour Golf...). The highlight for me was the feeling of joy while playing with my friends and the marvelling at the pixel graphics (they still fascinate me to the day). Since then I always come back to looking at the classic games and from time to time I even play one of them (for example Wizardry VI Bane of the Cosmic Forge, although I could not quite bring myself to finish it, because it was too much of the same in the end...). I am very glad sites like The Good Old Days exist, so I can learn more about these wonderful games of the past and dwell in memories. Thank You! David |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 1 | Hi there, I started gaming back in the 80s with a VC-20 followed by an Amiga 500. I have lots of memories of these old days and there are lots of games I would like to have a look at again... This could be the place... greets Peter |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 7 | Hi there, I am trying to get Fugger II and landed here. It seems almost impossible to get the game nowadays without paying crazy amounts on ebay. I loved the game as a kid and later until my sister accidentaly broke the game cd. Best T |

![]() Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 10891 | I think it's impossible to sell nowadays, due to the claims of the real Fugger family. It's by a margin the most sought after game here on this website. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Baby Gumby Posts: 6 | Hi, I'm Jessica from Germany. I got here after I just found out about the latest (soon to be published) Settlers game and how little of the original apparently is left there. That made me think back to when I played the original Settlers and what other games I played at the time. Nostalgia time ![]() |
