I stand corrected on this issue. Both of my comps do have reset buttons, but I never noticed them because they're so small. I thought the one was another LED until I took a close look at it.

Yes, because users get more stupid every day, companies hide such a 'fatal' and 'dangerous' device ;)

I'm still wondering why they had Turbo buttons back in the old days, though one for my computer games could be nice right about this time of the century!

The Turbo buttons activated turbo mode in the 80x86 CPUs, so it made sense. Such a mode doesn't exist in Pentiums / whatever-name anymore, so it doesn't make sense anymore.

I think the question is more of why didn't they just leave off the button and have it in turbo mode 24/7?

I disabled it quite often. The battles in Fantasy Empires ran way too fast in Turbo mode on my old 486DX2/66 for example.

Yeah!! That explains it! Nothing like solving a trouble shooting problem that is 8 years old and you quit playing Fantasy Empires because of the damn battles.
